Building apprenticeship instruction from real work knowledge

Dec 15, 2024 — by Turbine Team

A 2024 automation proposal

The Turbine Team's December 2024 article named proposed agents for curriculum structure, short lessons, translation, and accessibility. It included an unnamed manufacturing example and specific claims about faster design, translation accuracy, and learner results.

No employer, evaluation, or deployed tool was identified for those figures. The post cannot establish that those agents existed or that Apprentage now produces translated or accessibility-certified courses automatically.

Design related instruction responsibly

Begin with the sponsor's approved occupation and work-process schedule. Ask instructors and working mentors which knowledge an apprentice needs before attempting a task, and where classroom explanation differs from supervised practice.

Draft an objective and an exercise for each relevant skill; have a subject-matter expert check technical accuracy. Test translated or accessible materials with qualified reviewers and learners rather than assuming a generated format meets their needs.

Keep a record of the instructional version and who approved it. Then compare apprentice feedback and mentor observations with the plan, updating material where the evidence supports a change. In a current Apprentage demo, ask which parts of this process can be managed today.
