The 2023 proposition
The original October 2023 article argued that classroom learning and hands-on work should reinforce each other. That is a useful apprenticeship design principle, but the article's unnamed startup success story and satisfaction claims were not sourced.
It also described browsing and applying for opportunities through Apprentage. The historical article did not establish that those job-marketplace features existed; this update does not present them as current capabilities.
How a sponsor makes the connection
An employer defines the work an apprentice will perform and the related instruction needed to support it. A mentor observes work, records feedback, and decides whether the apprentice has demonstrated the skill; a sponsor checks progress against approved standards.
In a current Apprentage discussion, select one occupation and compare its work-process schedule with the training plan and mentor review records. Ask to see how gaps or delayed approvals are handled in a demo. Software can organize evidence; it cannot replace paid work, instruction, or human judgment.
