RTI course groups: a 2022 Turbine demo for apprenticeship sponsors

This August 2022 Turbine post demonstrated course groups for apprenticeship-related instruction (RTI). Its video is a historical interface demonstration, not evidence of apprentice completion or a current Apprentage feature release.

What the demo proposed

Course groups could organize synchronous or asynchronous technical instruction from regional community colleges or other approved training providers. Remote options could reduce travel for some apprentices, though an employer's RTI pay and travel obligations depend on the program and applicable rules.

The sponsor workflow today

A group of courses is only one part of an apprenticeship. Sponsors also need to track which apprentice completed required instruction, how it relates to the occupation and what skills were demonstrated in supervised work.

Apprentage supports that joined-up RTI, OJT and program-record workflow for sponsors and intermediaries. The linked 2022 video documents Turbine's earlier RTI approach; it does not establish retroactive Apprentage participation.
